About Us

The Circle of Ta’dib and Islamization of Knowledge (CADIK) is a learning community empowering young Muslims to solve modern challenges across disciplines through the lens of Islam, while upholding integrity in every situation.

To counter the risks of solitary learning—overconfidence and unintentional misinformation—we bring together passionate learners with strong ethics (adab).

Together, we create a supportive community, reflecting and uplifting each other, regardless of educational backgrounds.

Our name is based on the acronyms Circle of Ta’dib and Islamization of Knowledge. We derive our name from the solution formulated by Syed Muhammad Naquib al Attas.

A condition where everything is in its proper place and adab inculcated unto man, yielding right knowledge articulated in contemporary discipline.

We are learning community based in Jakarta that studies contemporary knowledge discipline along with worldview of Islam. To train young muslim solve contemporary problem in various discipline and strive for adab in every condition we encounter.

Our concern is learning in solitude, which might result in overconfidence, and spread false knowledge unconsciously. So we need people with thirst of knowledge and proper adab in learning that we manifest a good mirror to each other regardless the background of education.

Iftitah

In the name of Allah The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful, only through His generousity we could experience His favour of existence and only through prophet Muhammad we could know and pray only to Him.

In today’s flood of information, knowledge spreads everywhere—through social media, short courses, and formal education. Yet, we stand at a crossroads: confident voices speak on topics they aren’t experts in, disguising themselves as authorities, while true scholars remain low-profile, hesitant to engage in the chaos of the world. The result? Many have lost the tools to distinguish between the two.

This is where CADIK steps in. We are a community of students from diverse disciplines, united by a shared mission: to learn from true scholars, nurture curiosity, and uphold integrity. Here, we don’t just study—we engage in peer discussions that sharpen our thinking and communication, preparing us to be well-rounded individuals capable of addressing problems at every level.

We understand that solving the complex issues of our time requires diverse knowledge and perspectives. But it all starts with ourselves—by cultivating adab (ethical discipline) within us. This journey isn’t quick or easy; the fruits of our efforts may take years to emerge. Yet, yielding is not the way of a Muslim. We remain steadfast, hopeful in Allah, and strive to become the people the Prophet (ﷺ) yearned for most.
